Dr. Zhao joined the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt) as an assistant professor in August 2018. She received a B.S. from the Department of Precision Instruments in Tsinghua University. Before pursuing her Ph.D. at Georgia Tech, she worked full time as an instrumentation and control system engineer in Houston. At Pitt, Dr. Zhao's Research Laboratory of ZIP-AM (ZXY Intelligent Precision - Advanced Manufacturing) aims to improve and innovate various manufacturing processes and systems, as well as to demonstrate novel applications of advanced manufacturing technologies.
