Shiguang Ma

Shiguang joined the School in 2008. Prior to that, he held teaching and research positions in Tianjin University of Finance and Economics, Hong Kong University, Monash University and Curtin University. He was also a deputy manager in Investment Banking Branch, Northern International Trust and Investment Corp. Shiguang received his PhD in Finance and Economics from University of Adelaide, and Master and Bachelor degrees in economics and commerce from Tianjin University of Finance and Economics. Shiguang has about 60 publications of journal articles, book chapters and books in either English or Chinese. His recent research has appeared in publications such as the Research Policy, Journal of Business Ethics, European Accounting Review, Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, Accounting and Finance, International Journal of Managerial Finance, Journal of Contemporary Accounting and Economics, Emerging Markets Review, and Applied Financial Economics, etc. Shiguang has experienced teaching a number of subjects in the areas of finance, banking and business statistics at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Shiguang is also an experienced mentor of Honours, Masters and PhD students. He has supervised about 18 high degree research students in the area of finance or related field.
