Searat is also an award-winning educator with teaching expertise in corporate and sustainable finance. He designed and introduced UOW subjects in Socially Responsible Finance and Sustainable Finance, integrating industry data, professional curricula, technology-enhanced learning and applied assessment. His curriculum leadership contributed to recognition of UOW’s Bachelor of Business (Finance) and Master of Applied Finance through the CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing Recognition Program. His teaching has been recognised through the UOW Vice-Chancellor’s Outstanding Contribution to Teaching and Learning Award and five consecutive OCTAL nominations. He is a Fellow of the Wollongong Academy for Tertiary Teaching and Learning Excellence and an accredited reviewer and mentor of teaching and educational practice.
