Sasan Ahdi Rezaeieh

Dr Sasan Ahdi Rezaeieh is a Senior Lecturer in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at The University of Queensland. His research focuses on the design of microwave sensors and electromagnetic systems, with applications across healthcare, sensing, and communications. He leads multiple interdisciplinary projects that translate electromagnetic theory into practical technologies for real-world impact. Research areas and current projects • Portable electromagnetic scanners for detection and monitoring of liver steatosis and fibrosis • Multi-mode and reconfigurable antennas for enhanced situational awareness • Non-destructive testing systems for industrial and infrastructure monitoring • Satellite communication (SATCOM) antennas • Advanced and engineered materials for next-generation high-performance sensors and antennas Dr Rezaeieh has secured more than AUD 3 million in competitive research funding as Lead or Second Chief Investigator.
