My current research focuses on historic rice impoundments in the southeastern United States, exploring their connections to tidal agroecology, descendant community knowledge, ecosystem services, and heritage foodways. Beyond my work in South Carolina, I serve as Assistant Director of the Lagash Archaeological Project (LAP) in southern Iraq.
