Studies aerosols and air quality. Our group studies the effect of atmospheric particulate matter (aerosols) on air quality and the climate. Our current focus is on the climate warming due to light-absorbing aerosols emitted by combustion sources. We employ techniques based in laboratory experiments as well as large-scale chemical transport and radiative transfer modeling.
