Research interests
Professor Kang Liang leads the Nano-Micro-Bio Systems research group at the School of Chemical Engineering and the Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering, UNSW Sydney. He received his Bachelor (Honours) and PhD degrees in Chemical Engineering from The University of Melbourne in 2010 and 2014, respectively. Following the completion of his PhD, he joined CSIRO Manufacturing under the Office of the Chief Executive (OCE) Fellowship Scheme before becoming a Research Scientist. In 2017, he joined UNSW Sydney, where he established the Nano-Micro-Bio Systems research group. Professor Liang is an elected Fellow of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute (FRACI) and the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC, UK). He is currently an ARC Future Fellow and an NHMRC Leadership Fellow, and a former NHMRC Career Development Fellow.
