Julia Guernsey

Julia Guernsey is a Professor of Art History specializing in Pre-Columbian Mesoamerican art at the University of Texas at Austin, where she also holds the D. J. Sibley Family Centennial Faculty Fellowship in Prehistoric Art. Her research focuses on Preclassic Mesoamerican sculpture and monuments, including works on Izapa, and she has authored books such as *The Place of Stone Monuments* and *Sculpture and Social Dynamics in Preclassic Mesoamerica*.
