Jule Mulder

Jule Mulder is an Associate Professor in Law She is the Co-Director of the Centre for European and Public Law (CEPL) and former Co-Director of the Centre for Law at Work (CLAW) at the University of Bristol Law School, Co-Editor in Chief of the German Law Journal (GLJ) and a national expert of the European Equality Law Network (EELN). She is a European Comparative lawyer focusing on the European influences on national systems of law and how it can challenge structural inequality and injustice. Her monograph entitled EU Non-Discrimination law in the Courts: Approaches to Sex and Sexuality Discrimination in EU law was published with Hart Publishing in 2017. She has published a EELN Report on Indirect sex discrimination in employment for the EU Commission in 2021 and published extensively on equality related issues within employment, including equal pay and work regulation that enables the reconciliation of work and family life. Currently, Jule is exploring the EU concept of vulnerability as a cross-sectional concept to recognise and address injustice and exploitation. The research was funded by the Leverhulme Trust. Jule welcomes PhD applications in European law, Comparative law, Employment and Equality law.
