Dr Joanna Fardell is a Senior Research Fellow, for Maridulu Budyari Gumal (SPHERE) Cancer Clinical Academic Group, working in the Living Better with and After Cancer area of focus. She is also Deputy Director of Australia's largest psycho-oncology research groups - The Behavioural Sciences Unit, part of the Kids Cancer Centre at Sydney Children's Hospital. She also holds a clinical appointment as Neuropsychologist for the Western Sydney Youth Cancer Service, Crown Princess Mary Cancer Centre, Westmead Hospital. Research Interests & Skills: Dr Fardell's research interests focus on improving quality of life of people of all ages impacted by cancer, particularly through improving cognitive, social cognitive, and education or work outcomes, addressing unmet information needs and fear of cancer recurrence. Dr Fardell has experience with quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods research methodologies.
