Haibo Yu

Research in <a href="https://haiboyugroup.github.io/">Yu group</a> is focused on developing and applying theoretical and computational tools to understand the structure-dynamics-function relationship in complex (bio)molecular and nanoscale systems. Complementary to experimental investigations, such studies can gain new insights at the atomic level into the underlying mechanism and provide necessary knowledge for molecular engineering and the discovery of novel therapeutics.<br><br>Dr Haibo Yu joined the University of Wollongong in July 2010. He completed his undergraduate study at the University of Science and Technology of China under the supervision of <a href="https://enbiomed.ustc.edu.cn/2024/1217/c37979a665825/page.htm">Professor Yunyu Shi</a> and his Ph.D. at the ETH Zürich under the supervision of <a href="https://chab.ethz.ch/en/the-department/people/emeriti/person-detail.wvangunsteren.html">Professor Wilfred F. van Gunsteren</a>. He then conducted postdoctoral training at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with <a href="https://www.bu.edu/chemistry/profile/qiang-cui/">Professor Qiang Cui </a>(now Boston University) and the University of Chicago with <a href="https://chemistry.uchicago.edu/benoit-roux">Professor Benoît Roux</a> in the United States.
