Dr Bo Li is a Professor at the University of Wollongong. He completed his PhD (2008) at The University of Hong Kong (HKU), and BSc (2003) from the University of Science & Technological of China. He conducted his first post-doctoral work in the HKU from 2008 to 2011, before he joined the University of Wollongong (UOW). He was awarded the 3-years Vice-Chancellor's Post-doctoral Fellowship by UOW from 2012 to 2014. After that he was awarded the Future Fellowship by the Australian Research Council from 2015 to 2018. In 2018, he was employed as an associate professor at the School of Earth, Atmospheric and Life Sciences. He was promoted to full professor in 2023. His research focuses on luminescence dating and its application to archaeology and geology. He serves as editorial board member for the international journals Quaternary Geochronology and Frontiers in Earth Science.
