Research interests
I am an education researcher, whose work is focused on teacher learning and pedagogy within multilingual education systems. I am driven by a vision for secondary schools to be sites of scientific inquiry that draws on indigenous knowledge as well as conventional school science. My funded research is conducted in partnership with researchers and teacher educators in East Africa. Previous research has created multilingual teaching and learning materials and introduced language supportive approaches into teacher education.
