Adrian Tootell

Dr Adrian Tootell is a Lecturer and researcher at the University of Wollongong, Australia. He teaches in the fields of management and operations; and researches the role of relationship marketing to initiate and develop innovation relationships between universities and industry. He has spoken on this topic at international conferences. Dr Tootell has a special interest in creating innovative collaborations that translate science research into ambitious new products in competitive domestic and global environments. Before becoming an academic, Dr Tootell had an extensive career in industry with over 20 years managerial experience including product research, diverse integrated operations, process manufacturing, key customers, technical and laboratory services. He provided product leadership and management of multi-functional technical teams mass producing construction, food packaging and general purpose materials for domestic and international markets. Dr Tootell is also an active member of Standards Australia management systems technical committees and has contributed to the development of AS/NZS ISO 19011, 9000 and 9001. He provides technical expertise to three ISO international management systems working groups with a focus on providing organisational frameworks for sustained success.
